A Great Grandmother's Story

We call little Amy our five year old “Miracle Child.” Last April, on a Monday evening she went into the bathroom to find her mother.

“Mommie, on Saturday I prayed to Jesus that He would heal my eyes, so I’m standing on faith that my eyes are healed and I don’t need my glasses any more,” she said handing her glasses to her mother.

Amy’s mother took the glasses her little girl had been wearing since she was fifteen months old.

Amy’s mother and father had been praying also, along with the elders in their church, for Amy’s healing.

One day an elder who had been involved with them mentioned to Amy’s mother not to be surprised if Amy wanted to use her own faith in her healing. The elder said the Lords hand was in this and Amy would surely get her miracle.

Remembering what the elder told her, Amy’s mother stretched her faith as well and said, “Okay, let’s go talk to daddy and we’ll pray about this together.”

Her eyes were later tested at school, and they were 20/40. Amy received her miracle by faith.

James 5:14 Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up.
